Data Protection: Isle of Man
The Isle of Man Government has an excellent list of resources for those considering whether or not they need to register with the Office of the Data Protection Supervisor.
If you have never looked into whether you should register or not, then here is one compelling reason why you should.
For failing to meet the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2002 You may be liable for a fine of up to £5000, plus the effect of negative publicity on your businesses reputation.
You should review your data protection situation at least every 12 months. For limited companies this should be an item for your AGM.
